Qualification
- General Duty (GD) Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks, with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level
- Technical B.Tech/BE in relevant Engineering discipline with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level
Age Limit
- 21-25 years as on 01 July 2026 (born between 01 July 2001 and 30 June 2005)
Relaxations:Government job vacancy - SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC (NCL) – 3 years
- 5 years for personnel serving in Coast Guard/Army/Navy/Air Force
Selection Process: Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant 2025
The recruitment process involves 5 rigorous stages:
Stage I – CGCAT (Computer Based Test):
100 MCQs covering English, Reasoning, Maths & Science, General Knowledge
Duration: 2 hours; Negative marking for wrong answers
Based on normalized scores, an all-India merit list is prepared.
Stage II – Preliminary Selection Board (PSB):
Cognitive Battery Test + Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT)
Qualifying stage.
Stage III – Final Selection Board (FSB):
Psychological tests, group tasks, and interviews
Conducted at Noida over 4-5 days.
Stage IV – Medical Examination:
Conducted at Base Hospital, New Delhi.
Stage V – Induction:
Reporting at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala in December 2026.
