Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announcedof the Haryana State Government’s “Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana” on September 25, 2025. This day coincided with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, marking the launch of this ambitious scheme.
The Chief Minister said that under this scheme, eligible women will receive financial assistance of ₹2,100 per month. Its unique feature is that it will cover both married and unmarried women.

Who will get the benefit in the first phase
The first phase of the scheme will cover families with annual incomes below ₹1.40 lakh. It is estimated that approximately 1.9 to 2 million women will benefit from this scheme in the first phase. In the future, it will be expanded to women in other income groups.
Eligibility Conditions
To benefit from this scheme, the unmarried woman or the married woman’s husband must have been a resident of Haryana for the past 15 years . The government has also clarified that there will be no restriction on the number of women in a family. If three women in a family are eligible, all will receive the benefits.
Which women will not be included?
The state government has excluded nine existing schemes from the Lado Laxmi scheme, where women already receive higher pension amounts. However, women suffering from cancer (stages 3 and 4), 54 rare diseases, hemophilia, thalassemia, and sickle cell anemia will receive additional benefits under this scheme.
Benefits will automatically change according to age
The government stated that once an unmarried beneficiary woman reaches the age of 45, she will automatically become eligible for the Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme. Similarly, upon reaching the age of 60, the beneficiary will automatically be covered by the Old Age Honor Allowance Scheme.
Transparency and application process
A gazette notification for the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana has been issued, and a mobile app has also been launched. Women can apply from the comfort of their homes through this app. The government is sending SMS to each potentially eligible woman informing them about the application process.
A list of all eligible women will be published in panchayats and wards. Gram Sabhas and Ward Sabhas will also have the right to raise objections to this list.
